The countdown to IEM Dallas 2024 is on as Intel Extreme Masters celebrates its milestone 100th edition on May 27, 2024. DreamHack Dallas will host an IEM event held at the iconic Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center for the third year in a row.

Sixteen of the best Counter-Strike 2 teams in the world will soon land on U.S. shores, competing to earn a slice of the $250K prize pool, all-important BLAST Premier points, and a direct invitation to IEM Cologne in August. These teams are also hunting for their next title, which will bring them closer to winning the Intel Grand Slam IV and the $1M prize.

IEM Dallas 2024: Format

IEM Dallas 2024 boasts a standard format for an IEM event, like IEM Katowice, with a Group Stage and Playoffs compacted into just under a week of intense, pro-CS2 gameplay.

Group Stage

• The 16 teams are divided into two double-elimination format groups, with eight teams each
• The opening matches will be played as best-of-one (Bo1) and all following matches are best-of-three
• The top three teams from each group advance to the Playoffs: Group Stage winners advance to the Semifinals. Runners-Up advance to the Quarterfinals as High Seeds, Group Stage 3rd place teams are Low Seeds

Playoffs

• Six teams compete in a single-elimination bracket
• All matches, including the Grand Final, are played Bo3

IEM Dallas 2024: Teams

Just like IEM Dallas 2023, the 100th Intel Extreme Masters edition is a 16-team professional CS2 event, with Dallas as the latest stop on ESL's world tour. For the Group Stage, the teams are divided into Groups A and Group B, as laid out below.

MOUZ are currently dominating the ESL World Ranking with 2,422 BLAST Premier points. They have seen a recent bout of success in CS2, having won ESL Pro League S19 and BetBoom Dacha in May. Will they continue their winning streak at IEM Dallas?

Group B is home to some serious powerhouses in the CS2 esports scene. FaZe Clan won the most recent Intel Extreme Masters event in Chengdu, beating MOUZ in a slamdunk 2-0 victory. FaZe Clan also has two Intel Grand Slam awards to their name, with the potential to add another to their tally soon.
